Nikolaev Alexey: short biography and creativity

Not everyone dreams of playing music from a young age. Often happens, that interest to it wakes up at teenage age, and even later. The Soviet composer Nikolaev Aleksey was born into a family of musicians, but before thirteen years he was pretty cool to the pianoforte. Nevertheless, he became one of the most outstanding composers of his time. He managed to become an opera master and a musician with an unusual vision.

Education

The composer's childhood fell on the war years. At that time, the population of the country was not up to the music, but at the insistence of the father Nikolaev, Alexei went on a family path. First he entered the school at the Moscow Conservatoire, and later got to one of the faculties of the Moscow State Conservatory. At the same time I studied at the art faculty of the State University.

Art more attracted to the young man, he wrote and defended his thesis on the work of Seghers. But later the music obscured everything, he began to write his first works. It is interesting that the composer's work is as multifaceted as his interests. He tried himself in different genres and themes. Over the years he has created several operas, ballets, symphonies, oratorios and many other works.

Master of opera

The first opera of the master was the work "Woe is no trouble", laid on the verses of Marshak. Then he barely graduated from the conservatory course under Shebalin, but the opera was accepted and put into the repertoire of the Opera Studio at the conservatory. Already then everyone understood that Nikolayev was a unique composer with natural talent. The audience favorably accepted his first work.

No less success enjoyed the work "The Price of Life" based on the play by Salynsky. Contemporaries noted that the vocal parts of Nikolaev's operas were simple even for first-year students. He regretted without modification and copied even very large pieces. However, Aleksey Aleksandrovich evaluates the opera for Salynsky critically. He was dissatisfied with his brainchild and more than once noted that he could write better. Much better, in his opinion, were the operas of the mid-eighties - "Count Nulin" and "Feast during the plague."

Last days

One of the most attractive works of the master is the opera "The Last Days", written according to the work of Mikhail Bulgakov. Nikolaev Alexei was able to develop and generalize the idea of the author of the work. The whole opera can be divided into several parts and a lot of symphonic episodes with different moods: lyric, grotesque and epic.

Two time coordinates have turned the hand of the master into two musical series: natural and dynamic. Now thirteen symphonic etudes from this opera are performed as separate works - variations. Interesting and the end of the work. For him Nikolaev Alexey Alexandrovich used the call of the cuckoo.

Career successes

Since 1958 the composer has become a teacher. He was very fond of students and journalists. Talking with Alexey Alexandrovich, according to their memories, was a pleasure - he had a fine sense of humor, intelligence, deep knowledge and at the same time was completely devoid of arrogance, which many professors sin.

Another career success can be called a lot of films and performances, to which he wrote music. They were very popular in Soviet times, but now most of these pictures are forgotten. For his achievements in the professional sphere Nikolaev Alex received many prestigious awards. Among them, you can distinguish the prize named after Shostakovich, Prokofiev and Glinka. But the most important thing is that his works are still performed in philharmonic societies of different cities and studied in conservatories.
