Ordinary pass-through of the Rostov helicopter plant. Thousands of people pass through wide automatic doors, hurrying to work or hurrying home. They run forward without noticing, but they always stop near the threshold and raise their eyes.

What attracts the eyes of these weary, hurried workers? A commemorative plaque, installed on the entrance building, is a memorial bas-relief depicting a kind and active man.

Nagibin MV - Honorary aircraft builder of the USSR, wise active leader and just a good man. For his troublesome active life, he did a lot of good to ordinary people, and also managed to maintain the high economic level of the whole city.

Who is he - Michael Nagibin, whose biography and activities are of interest to many of our contemporaries? Let's get to know this extraordinary, intellectually developed person and learn how he lived, what he did and what he wanted.

Early childhood

Mikhail Vasilyevich Nagibin was born in difficult pre-war times - in the fall of 1935, in the Rostov region, in a simple family of the Don Cossack. My father worked as an airplane collector at a local aircraft factory. Love to the sky and aircrafts Misha inherited from him.

The city of Taganrog, in which the future airman was born, is located on the shore of the Sea of Azov and is included in the list of historical cities of Russia. The city is very large and beautiful, with a well-developed infrastructure. There are many industrial and public buildings in Taganrog.

The Great Patriotic War

The Great Patriotic War, little Misha met in the evacuation. And although life in the resettlement was bitter and heavy, it still saved the boy from terrible, monstrous memories.

During the Second World War the city of Taganrog was under severe Nazi occupation, which lasted just over two years. It was a terrible time for those who stayed. The Germans were making fanatical outrages, mocking the helpless civilian population. They exterminated all Jews (about four thousand people), tortured small orphans from the orphanage, using their blood to transfuse their officers ...

In 1943, Taganrog was liberated by Soviet troops, the operation involved air forces, infantry, landing and navy.

Return

Immediately after the liberation of Taganrog, the Nagibins returned to their native city, where the eight-year-old Misha went to the first class of school number twenty-four. The secondary educational establishment was converted by the Germans into a stable, so from the very beginning Nagibin studied in the building of a metallurgical plant, and in his spare time he went along with other children to restore school classrooms, destroyed and spoiled by fascist invaders. Then the child first fell in love with airplanes.

The next two years the air ships flew regularly over the city, carefully examining and carefully guarding the surrounding area. Little Misha just fell in love with the ringing and lingering motor rumble of the aircraft. He excited the imagination, enchanted and captivated.

Therefore it is not surprising that after graduating from the middle seven classes, the young Mikhail Nagibin entered the local aviation technical school.

Youth

Learning the boy was easy. From his father, he adopted not only love for aircraft, but also assiduity, attentiveness, interest and understanding. True, the theory did not delight the young man as much as practice.

Having visited the factory, having turned tools and various details in his hands, Mikhail Nagibin gave his heart to the development of his favorite profession.

After graduation from the technical school, he received a distribution to one of the oldest aviation plants in Russia, located in Taganrog, where his father continued to work. At the enterprise, the beginning riveter-riveter (yes, this was the first work of Nagibin) quickly won the respect and trust of both colleagues and managers. Less than a couple of months, as a skilful educated guy was appointed assistant master of the shop. Soon the next increase would follow, but Mikhail Nagibin was drafted into the army.

The service was held as an aviation mechanic of the Moscow Military District.

Education

After passing the military service, Mikhail, who was in love with planes, returned to his native plant, where he quickly rose to the rank of master. Being in this position, the young man realized that he did not know much. He wanted to get more information and skills, become more qualified and competent.

Therefore, Nagibin entered the Polytechnic Institute, the correspondence department. The higher educational institution was in Novocherkassk (Rostov region).

At the age of twenty-six years, Mikhail Nagibin received a diploma of a mechanical engineer, with the opportunity to work in the specialty "engineering technology." By this time, the young specialist was already married and held a serious position as a control master.

Working as an inspector, Mikhail Vasilievich has established himself as a thorough and demanding professional. Before making any decision, young Nagibin devoted enough time to research this issue with the help of necessary literature, additional documents or research.

Production career

After graduation, the newly appointed engineer was appointed deputy chief, and a year later he was entrusted to lead the mechanical shop number one. At this point, Mikhail Nagibin gained universal popularity and respect.

Colleagues and subordinates, seeing his extraordinary mind, skilled skills, sincere enthusiasm and enthusiasm for work, did not consider the young specialist an upstart or a sycophant. They valued Michael highly, listened to his advice with pleasure and complied with his demands with pleasure.

The position of the shop manager was very much liked by the young engineer. Possessing all the qualities of a talented leader and having the necessary knowledge and skills, he could be at the center of production events, use creative perception, direct the team to perform the necessary tasks and instructions.

Leadership, watching the young active Nagibin, placed high hopes on him. Mikhail Vasilievich was sent to the passage of the Higher Economic Courses, held at the Rostov Regional Committee, to improve professional qualifications.

At the age of thirty-five, Nagibin received another major promotion - he became the chief technologist of the airline.

An important task

The transition to a new position was marked by the introduction of a new direction at the plant. Before the enterprise, a complicated unknown task was set: it was necessary to start the serial construction of the anti-submarine Tu-142M aircraft, designed to detect and destroy missile-submarine cruisers or nuclear submarines.

In order to begin the construction of a new model of aircraft construction, it was necessary to carefully study all the data on its construction, make thorough changes to the plant's production system, introduce the latest technological achievements and equip the production with the latest technical equipment.

With this difficult and important task, Mikhail Vasilyevich Nagibin managed, surprisingly, delightfully and professionally. The production of the Tu-142M was delivered to the conveyor in the shortest possible time, without failures and misfires.

Was the enormous work done by Mikhail Nagibin really appreciated? Awards and prizes, which were awarded to this selfless person, speak for themselves. He was awarded many honorary orders and medals, as well as a new and prestigious, but incredibly complex, appointment.

Moving in

The director of the plant where Mikhail Vasilievich worked, saw him as his successor and wanted very much to give him the director's chair. However, the top state leadership considered it necessary to transfer Nagibin to Rostov-on-Don, where the helicopter plant developed and improved.

With what heart did Mikhail Nagibin leave his native city and his favorite place of work? One can only imagine how difficult it was for him to leave the habitual way of life, dear to the heart of space, dear, well-known people.

Whatever it was, in 1976, Mikhail Vasilyevich moved to another city, where he began his direct duties as a chief engineer.

How long did Mikhail Nagibin get used to a new place? Rostov-on-Don is the largest city in the south of the Russian Federation, on the territory of which huge industrial enterprises are located. Therefore, life in such an industrial working city could not not like the engineer-enthusiast.

A year later he was already well acquainted with all and was able to transport the family. Work continued to occupy the main place in the life of Mikhail Vasilyevich, which did not go unnoticed in government circles.

Four years after the move, Mikhail Nagibin was appointed director of the Rostov Helicopter Plant.

Prestigious appointment

Occupying such a high and responsible post, Mikhail Vasilyevich did a lot to increase the economy and production of not only this enterprise, but the whole city. Under the strict guidance of Nagibin Rostov Helicopter Plant became the largest machine building association in Russia. A complete technical re-equipment of production was carried out, specialized workshops for the manufacture of light industry products and consumer goods were created, and domestic and social working conditions were improved. The mass production of the best multi-purpose transport helicopters Mi-24 and Mi-26, for which the air director received the Order of Lenin and other honorary titles, was put into mass production.

While in office, Mikhail Nagibin was an extremely honest and respectful person. His subordinates do not remember the case that the head of Hamil or insult them. He was famous for his enormous capacity for work, punctuality, fairness and scrupulousness.

Restructuring

During perestroika, when many enterprises were pulled and closed, Mikhail Vasilievich managed to keep the enterprise entrusted to him. When the production came hard economic time, he found an additional source of financing for his complex - he built a huge trade and exhibition center, the profit from which went to preserve the personnel and scientific and technical equipment of the plant.

Workers on time received a decent salary, and this despite the general economic crisis in the state. Nagibin, feeling responsible for the fate of his workers, did everything in order to improve their financial and social status.

Charity

An important contribution to the social life of the city was invested by Mikhail Vasilievich and when he equipped the power station for a residential village, reconstructed medical-improving complexes for children and adults, repaired the school and equip it with computers ...

Do not list all the good deeds that the general director Nagibin made for the benefit of his city and his plant. Therefore it is not surprising that Mikhail Vasilievich is remembered warmly in Rostov and with gratitude.

He installed a memorial plaque (the entrance of the Rostvertol plant). One of the schools is named after him. And the prospectus of October was renamed into the prospectus of Mikhail Nagibin. Rostov-on-Don is proud and honors his working hero.

Death

Mikhail Vasilievich Nagibin died from cardiac arrest on March 31, 2000, after a busy day, responsible meetings, business meetings and a press conference. For a long time he worked without breaks and days off, giving himself to his favorite business and his beloved city.
