Meaning: Fatima name
In the beautiful Islamic name of Fatima there is a special, deep meaning. The name itself comes from the Arabic verb "cut off".
But the main thing in this word is not even his translation. Fatima was called one of the most perfect and outstanding women in the world. It was she who continued the race of the Prophet. The same name was worn by other women who left their mark in Islam: the daughter and sister of Umar b. Khattab, granddaughter and daughter of Ali b. Abi Talib, other equally worthy women. What is its significance? The name Fatima emphasizes the weight and value of a woman in Islam as a mother. Not every woman could raise a child and save his life in those times when mortality exceeded all reasonable limits. Only such an adult, a woman who saved another, could be called Fatima.
The meaning of the name Fatima has one more shade. One day a guest knocked at the daughter of the Prophet. Seeing the blind old man on the threshold, Fatima al-Zahra still wore the hijab, and only then opened the door. When asked why she did this, the wanderer is still blind, she answered that he does not see her, but she sees him, so she must meet in the hijab.
There is another legend about a woman with this beautiful name. One day my father sent Fatima military trophies. Selling them, the girl bought two expensive bracelets and a curtain for the house. Seeing this, the father, who had returned from the war, did not enter the house. Fatima understood her mistake. She took off the bracelets and curtain, gave it to her father through her sons. The same, breaking the pieces of jewelry, gave them to the poor. Therefore, they say that the meaning of the name Fatima also has this: it is a sign of a woman who is able to understand and correct her mistakes.
Character of Fatima
Usually the girl
Fatima has two more rare qualities: unselfishness and devotion to her husband. When the manager of the treasury came to her, the young woman, despite her poverty, refused to take her jewels from the treasury, motivating her act in that she can not resist the will of her deceased spouse. For such behavior, the Almighty gave Fatima eternity.
