Making Android Hard Reset

In any gadget on the basis of the OS "Android", the operating system for some reason comes into malfunction with time. It is not necessary at the same time to break from the spot and run to the service center to do a flashing. It will be enough to make a reset to the factory settings, which will return the device to its original state.

What is Android Hard Reset?

With a careful use of the device, the operating system "Android" can survive long enough without failures and system problems, which can occur for several reasons.

  1. Frequent installation of applications from unknown sources that begin to harm OS and system files.
  2. The clutter of the mobile device's memory with temporary files, cache and other garbage that remains after the use of applications, browsers and games.
  3. Having received superadmin's rights (root-rights), the user unknowingly deletes important for "Android" data.
  4. OS components are blocked or deleted by the virus. A virus is very common, which blocks the phone and requires the transfer of money to the account, threatening that otherwise criminal responsibility will follow. Do not be scared, this is pure divorce.

But whatever the reason, Android Hard Reset can help with the problem. This is a special function of the mobile device, which resets all data to the factory settings. As a result, the user has an absolutely clean gadget, both immediately after the acquisition.

Without preparation anywhere

Before you make Hard Reset Android, you need some preparations to save important data (phone book, accounts, passwords, etc.). This is done in different ways:

  • Synchronize with your Google account via mobile Internet or Wi-Fi;
  • We connect to the PC via USB, then we save all the data from the device using a special program (it can be either from the manufacturer or from unofficial developers);
  • You can also save contacts from the phone book by importing them to a memory card.

In addition to the internal data of the mobile device, it is desirable to copy files from the memory card to the computer. The fact is that Android Hard Reset erases not only all personal data, but also information about the location of files on the SD-card. Therefore, on a full memory card inserted into the gadget after the reset, a new file system will be displayed on top of the old one (the files on the flash drive will remain physically, but will not be displayed).

Now that all the important information has been saved, you can do Android Hard Reset. It is done in three ways:

  1. Programmatically, i.e., from system settings.
  2. In the Recovery mode.
  3. Using a PC.

Reset from settings

The reset is done in this case if the device normally starts up and works, since it is made from the settings.

Open "Settings", look for "Personal Data" (on different versions of "Android" this item can be called "Recovery and Reset" and "Accounts"). We pass there, where it will be necessary to press "Reset the data to the factory settings". Then we agree to everything that is offered (we press "Reset devices", after "Delete all").

Through the Recovery mode

Factory settings can be returned through System Recovery. It helps when the device does not turn on because of a failure or it constantly reboots, so it's impossible to get to the settings. To enter Recovery mode, you need to turn off the phone and hold down several buttons. For each manufacturer, this combination is different.

Hard Reset Android Samsung is done as follows. It is necessary to clamp three keys that are on the phone's body: power, menu and volume up. When the black screen with the list appears, the volume keys select wipe data / factory reset, Yes and Reboot now.

ASUS. Press and hold the volume down and three seconds power. From the list choose Enter recovery mode. Further the same as in the "Samsung".

Alcatel. Power and volume up. Then look at the instructions for the "Samsung".

ACER. The principle is the same as in Alcatel.

HTC. Press and hold the volume down, up and power. When "Warning" (or Warning) appears, you must separately press the volume up.

NOKIA. You must hold down the volume, power and camera keys.

SONY. With the devices of this brand a bit more complicated. First, you need to charge the phone to the maximum (wait until the green light comes on). Next, turn off the charging cord and look for a small round hole on the body or under the lid, behind which there is a reset button. We press it with a needle or a paper clip. The screen should light up, and, after it goes out, we clamp the power and press the volume up several times.

Through a PC

There are cases when the phone does not turn on, and Recovery mode in the mobile device is simply not provided (rarely, but it happens). In this case, you can make Hard Reset Android through the computer. True, specialized programs will be needed for this.

Almost every manufacturer has provided for its gadgets specialized programs that can update the system, make a backup copy of data, make a flashing, and restore the device by making Android Hard Reset.

The first thing you need to download this utility. You can download it from the official developer site, as well as on other sites and blogs. There you can also read how to reset the device through this utility. In principle, all these programs must be intuitive, so there should not be any problems with this.

Next, you will need to download the drivers for the desired "Android" device, if they are not in the utility utility database. After we connect the gadget to the PC via USB and start the reset process.
