Lisa Brichkina ("A dawns here are quiet ..."): description, description, actress

Boris Vasiliev's novel "A Dawns Here Are Quiet", published in 1969 in the magazine "Youth", aroused enormous reader interest and the desire to raise the theme of "women in war" on stage and in the cinema. The destinies of five anti-aircraft gunners, each of which has something to defend, have evoked a lively response in the hearts of people, and after the film adaptation of the story in 1972 by Stanislav Rostotsky, the three main characters of one film, including Lisa Brickin, were included in the TOP-10 in 2013 The best female images of Russian cinematography in films about the war. Why was this image so dear to spectators?

Authors of History

Boris Vasiliev, who died three years ago, was a participant of the Great Patriotic War, who voluntarily got to the front at the age of 17. He is the author of a number of works in which the topic of an ordinary person unfit for combat actions is raised, but in the conditions of total war finding internal resources to confront the enemy in the name of the Motherland: "The lists did not appear", "Tomorrow was a war", "And the dawns are quiet here ... ". Readers sympathize with the heroes and hope that they will be able to overcome the test and will survive.

The Taganka Theater was the first in 1971 to stage a play about anti-aircraft guns. But at the same time another participant in the war in memory of the nurse who saved his life, Stanislav Rostotsky, conceived the production of a feature film, the script for which was written in collaboration with Vasiliev. In 1973, the film will be nominated for an Oscar in the category of foreign films, and the creative team will receive the State Prize. Zhenya Komelkova, Rita Osyanina and Lisa Brickin will become characters, for many years associated with the names of actresses who played them.

Short story

In the deep rear of the territory of Karelia in 1942 there were two platoon of anti-aircraft gunners, where the commandant of the escort was Fedot Vaskov, a participant of the Finnish war. To avoid the disintegration of personnel, quickly accustomed to the life of a quiet garrison, Sergeant Vaskova is sent to girls-volunteers. Among them, a village lady from Bryansk (in the film - from Vologda region), whose life was held on a forest cordon - Liza Brickin. "And the dawns here are quiet ..." - a story about how the measured life of the garrison is disturbed by the discovery in the forest of two Germans, and a small detachment of five fighters is sent to intercept alleged saboteurs, whose purpose may be the railway.

Among them is our heroine, since we need to go through the forest, lakes and swamps, which is familiar to her through life. While in ambush, the detachment finds a catastrophic mistake, costing all the girls of life: they are one on one, not against two, but against sixteen well-armed and trained fascist saboteurs. In an unequal battle, they perish one after another. All in different ways, sometimes without showing any heroism.

But the whole audience is sympathetic and worried about the girls, who should have a completely different fate. This terrible war forces them to take up arms, and it is useless to expect from every valor and heroism. Lisa Bricchina, sent for help, is so sincere and spontaneous in her readiness to come to the rescue that it is impossible to condemn her for an absurd death in a swamp that made the arrival of reinforcements impossible. The enemy did not pass. The survivor Vaska, who experienced many losses in his life, does the impossible, capturing his enemies.

Characteristic of Lisa Bricchina

Much of the nature of the girl comes from childhood and its difficult fate: the father is a forester who instilled knowledge and love for nature; A seriously ill mother, after whom the girl is accustomed to take care from the age of five, accustomed to patience and humility in life; Lack of full communication on the lost cordon, which made her shy and shy. Accustomed since childhood to the hard work of the village, she and animals were managed, and all the work on the house was on her, and her father was helping her bypassing his squares. Her whole life was that she cleaned, scraped, ran for bread in the village, fed her mother with a spoon and ... believed in tomorrow.

There was Lisa Brickin alive and energetic, not grazing in front of difficulties and not allowing himself tears. After the death of the mother in the spring of 1941, my father began to drink the dark, but the girl only locked the door from his friends and continued to wait for a bright tomorrow. Appeared on the cordon hunter, in her opinion, was to be the one who opens the door for her tomorrow. Ready to surrender to the night guest, she came across the person who understands her condition: "Do not make nonsense even with boredom. You have to study, Lisa. " He promised a clever and sensible girl in a technical school to arrange in the city, with a hostel. Yes, prevented this war. Involved in defense work on digging trenches, she stuck to the female anti-aircraft unit, hitting the garrison to Vaska.

Not knowing in her 19 years of love, the girl immediately falls in love with the sergeant-major. Those who began to play a trick on this anti-aircraft gunner, soon realize how deep and sincere this feeling, nothing in return, that they begin to perceive it with respect. And Liza from each praise of the sergeant-major for the heart is such a joy that she took the assignment to run for help with great readiness. Yes, so hurry, forgetting about the precaution that forever remained in the swamp swamp. Seeing the blue sky before her, already dying, she reached out to him and still believed in salvation and happy tomorrow.

Lisa Brichkina's description and choice of actress

By the author the appearance of the girl is described taking into account the physical load she performed: she was so healthy that she could plow on it. Dense, stocky, it is not clear where it is wider: in hips or shoulders. A person, respectively, blood with milk, a braid to the waist. Only in time of war I had to cut it off. And the heat from the girl was drawn, as if from a stove. Vaska all the anti-aircraft gunners in the example she led, "there is something to see". With all one constitution, and "everything is with her."

Choosing actresses for the main roles, Stanislav Rostotsky was looking for young, untamed faces. Casting for the film and a third-year student Elena Drapeko, ruddy, snub-nosed, but clearly not in the weight category, as the author described. When, after getting acquainted with the script, she was asked about who she would like to play, she answered: Osyanin or Komelkov. But they invited her to another role - not as heroic as she wanted. For Rostotsky, Lisa Brickin's characterization had to match her appearance. He was expecting to see a village girl, noisy, fighting. And after the first filming days it became clear that Drapeko with such a character can not cope, and she was removed from the role.

The actress Nina Menshikova, the wife of Rostotsky , rescued the situation. After watching the footage, she told her husband that the purity and light emanating from the girl would truly decorate the picture, forcing people to hate the war even more. Elena Drapeko drew freckles, brightened her eyebrows and "moved" to Vologda, adding a characteristic "okanie" to give the village charm.

Filming

In this reading, the image of the girl so touched the viewer, linking the actress and the role that all the further creative activity of Elena Drapeko remained in her shadow. Not having overcome such a high level, the actress went headlong into politics, being now a deputy of the State Duma. She recalls with warmth the filming process, which allowed to play the most stellar role in her life. Filming was conducted from spring to deep autumn for 18 hours a day. A lot of time was spent on communicating with real participants of the Great Patriotic War and viewing thousands of meters of film with a chronicle of wartime.

All the scenes were played in a situation close to reality. And she had to drown in the swamp, giving the horror that Lisa Bichkin experienced, the man who was absolutely unprepared for this terrible war.

The heroine from the movie of 2015

To the 70th anniversary of the Victory over the fascists, director Renat Davletyarov decided to shoot a new film based on the novel by Boris Vasilyev, using a more modern film language. The creative team faced a difficult task: not to turn the picture into a simple remake, bringing it closer to the source. For a new generation, not familiar with the 1972 film, I wanted to convey the entire drama of inconsistency - a woman and a war. When selecting actors, the director was interested in finding those who were not familiar with the first version of the picture. So in 2015 there was a new Lisa Brickin. The actress, who played this role, made her debut in a big cinematograph. Sofya Lebedeva is a graduate of the Moscow Art Theater School, where she studied at the course of I. Zolotovitskiy.

The authors of the script "transferred" her heroine to Siberia, telling about the heavy share of the deceased peasants. This reinforces the impression of the film in which the image of the girl is created, in spite of life's difficulties connected with the socialist system, which does not represent a different fate, except to stand up for the defense of its Motherland.
