Inexpensive monitor for computer. Overview of inexpensive monitors, tips for choosing

On the market today, there are so many inexpensive computer monitors that, due to the abundance of models, the choice is difficult to make. And the price range is very wide. Therefore it is impossible to say exactly how much the monitor costs, because the price depends on thousands of parameters. In this ranking, the best models are collected, which are in a low price range. They are all cheap and good, as evidenced by the positive feedback from customers.

1 place - AOC E970SWN

The first place in the review of inexpensive monitors is model AOC E970SWN. Depending on the store, you can buy it for 4200-4300 rubles. So far this is the cheapest offer on the market, which explains the rather high demand.

But it is worth noting that the monitor uses the matrix TFT TN, which is now obsolete. It has extremely low viewing angles, and if viewed at an angle, the picture is distorted. In general, the model is not bad: it has a diagonal of 18.5 inches, a resolution of 1366x 7 68, and also a WLED-backlight. By the way, many sellers point it as a monitor with a 19-inch diagonal, although in fact it is slightly smaller.

Given the low cost, good build quality and parts, we recommend AOC E970SWN as an inexpensive computer monitor. Its only drawback is the extremely small viewing angles due to the applied TN-matrix.

2 place - model Samsung S20D300NH

This model can be purchased for 5000 rubles on average, but it's impossible to say exactly how much the Samsung S20D300NH monitor costs. In one shop its price is 4700 rubles, in another - 5200.

As in the previous monitor, a TFT TN matrix is also used here, which implies low viewing angles. The rest of the parameters are the same, that's just the screen diagonal here is 19.5 inches. It is possible to allocate still small time of the response of pixels (5 ms), that is peculiar to TN-matrixes. This, perhaps, is their only plus.

Build quality and pictures are beyond praise, so the device deservedly takes second place.

3 place - Viewsonic VA2055Sa

The average price of the monitor is 5300 rubles. This time we have a device with an MVA-matrix and a WLED backlight. So far we are in the price category, in which there are no more expensive IPS-matrices.

But you should pay tribute to the Viewsonic VA2055Sa monitor . It uses a good matrix with large viewing angles (178 degrees horizontally and vertically), the screen diagonal is 19.5 inches, and the resolution is FullHD (that is, 1920 x 1080). At the same time, there is a higher brightness at 250 cd / m 2 , but the response time is extremely high - 16 ms. This means that the monitor is suitable for surfing the Internet or work, but it is impossible to use it for games. Just a picture with active actions in the game will "slow down". We strongly advise against choosing this model if you plan to run games on the computer.

4th place - LG 19M37A

The prices for this model on the Internet vary between 5300-6500 rubles. So you should look for a seller more closely.

As a monitor, praise LG 19M37A especially not at that. Here the most simple characteristics, an inexpensive TN-matrix and WLED-illumination. With a monitor diagonal of 19 inches it has a classic resolution of 1366 x 768. As an advantage, we again highlight the small pixel response time (5 ms), but this is typical for TN-matrices.

In online stores you can find many good reviews about this model. In particular, buyers are very satisfied with the low price and good quality of the monitor itself. Its only possible drawback is the heat at work. The viewing angles are also small, but this is again attributed to the lack of TN technology, and not specifically to this monitor.

5 place - NEC AccuSync LCD73V

A simple and square monitor with a 5: 4 format and a resolution of 1280 x 1024, its diagonal is 17 inches, and it is equipped with a TN-matrix. Note that the square format is obsolete, and it is extremely inconvenient to work for such a monitor, not to mention the games.

Its claimed performance at viewing angles is impressive - 140 and 160 degrees horizontally and vertically, respectively. Judging by the feedback, the model is reliable and efficient, ideally suited to offices where there is no point in buying expensive equipment. After two or three years of use, the body mounting bolts may loosen. But the problem is solved using a Phillips screwdriver. Given the characteristics, the price of the monitor is quite appropriate.

6th place - Philips 223V5LSB

For this model, the sellers will ask 5400-5700 rubles. This is more expensive than previous monitors, but Philips 223V5LSB has certain advantages. But first we single out the TN-matrix and all the ensuing disadvantages.

The main advantage - a large FullHD-resolution, which will allow you to watch videos in high quality. And anyway, the monitor will be able to play any FullHD-content. Its diagonal is larger compared to all models - 22 inches. In fact, the diagonal is 21.5 inches, but manufacturers prefer to specify it is 22 inches. There are no more unique characteristics and advantages. Brightness parameters (250 cd / m 2 ) and contrast (1000: 1) are standard.

Customer feedback is mostly positive. Many are satisfied with the high quality of the assembly of the device and the stunning color rendition. This is the advantage of a monitor that justifies a higher price. Philips engineers managed to raise the outdated TN matrix to a new level and to make it so that even at large viewing angles, color distortions are not completely absent, but they are hardly noticeable. The picture, surprisingly, users, has become bright and clear, so it is difficult to determine exactly which matrix is used.

7th place - Viewsonic VA2261-2

5400-5500 rubles - this is the average cost of this inexpensive computer monitor. The higher price compared to the models above is justified by its FullHD resolution (1920 x 1080) and a diagonal of 22 inches.

However, the model has extremely small viewing angles (90 and 65 degrees horizontally and vertically, respectively). Brightness (200 cd / m 2 ) and contrast (600: 1) is enough, a good technology of WLED backlighting without flicker is realized.

On the web, the model gets good reviews because of the cheapness and FullHD-resolution. This is one of the few monitors, which at a cost of 5.5 thousand has FullHD-resolution and a fairly large diagonal.

8th place - BenQ GL2250

The monitor model BenQ GL2250 will cost 5700 rubles. In some stores, the cost of the device is more than 7 thousand rubles, so be careful when choosing a seller. 8th place he received because of a higher cost compared to his competitors, but in terms of characteristics and quality, he is not inferior to them, and sometimes even surpasses.

This is a good inexpensive monitor for a computer with the already familiar TN-matrix and WLED-backlight. Unlike the previous model, here the viewing angles are much wider - 170 and 160 degrees horizontally and vertically, respectively. For its money, the monitor is good, but users identify the following drawbacks: insufficient image contrast, hard and inconvenient adjustment buttons, there is light at the edges, there is no DVI cable for connection.

9th place - ASUS VX207NE

This monitor for a computer ASUS VX207NE in one store costs 5500 rubles, in another - 7000 rubles. It is difficult to explain where such a big difference in price, but it is. Therefore, when choosing, remember that the real cost of the model is around 5500 rubles.

The screen diagonal is 19.5 inches, the resolution is classic 1366 x 768. Also inside is a conventional TN-matrix with extremely low viewing angles (only 90 and 65 degrees horizontally and vertically). The 9th place was given to the model because of good customer feedback. It is reliable, cheap and stylish. In some office it will fit perfectly, but as a home monitor is not recommended for use.

10th place - Acer AL1717Asm

This monitor "Acer" with a 17-inch screen costs 6500 rubles. The model, although it collects good reviews, but it should be noted that it is obsolete. All monitors with such a diagonal are square, not widescreen and have a 5: 4 aspect ratio.

Specifically, this model with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 is equipped with a standard TN-matrix with a response time of 8 ms. It has a high brightness (300 cd / m 2 ), but not enough contrast (only 500: 1). A distinctive feature can be called built-in speakers, which is a kind of remnant of the past, and not an actual advantage. Note that today this monitor is outdated, but in its price category it outperforms in the quality of assembly and pictures many modern models.

How to choose an inexpensive monitor for your computer?

In the rating we indicated budget models that collected positive feedback. All of them have a TN-matrix, which is technologically much inferior to the IPS matrices. However, the presence of IPS-matrix greatly raises the cost of the screen itself, so when choosing an inexpensive monitor your class is limited only by TN technology. But if you choose to come across a monitor with an IPS matrix and approximately the same cost as a model with TN technology, then you are lucky.

Also, when choosing, pay attention to the manufacturer. Many unknown Chinese companies are trying to fill the market with state employees who can not boast of high quality. As a result, the matter can go so far that the pixels start to pour. Give preference to well-known brands: Samsung, Asus, Philips, Dell, etc.

The resolution and format of the screen is another feature when choosing inexpensive monitors. Always choose a widescreen, because with a square monitor with a 4: 3 or 5: 4 aspect ratio it will be extremely inconvenient to work. The minimum resolution is 1366 x 768. If the resolution is below this value, then this model is also bypassed. On it will be visible individual pixels, from which the eyes will quickly tire.

Finally: from time to time, browse the catalogs of various online stores. It is often possible to stumble upon advantageous discounts and offers. This happens when stores are trying to quickly sell stagnant non-actual goods.
