They can close this piece of furniture with their legs, or just the back, be festive or everyday - it all depends on your imagination. If you do not have time or desire to tinker with a sewing machine, you can simply throw a large piece of light cloth on a chair, tighten it in shape and fasten it with a knot or bow on the back. And here are a few options for sewing.

The simplest cover

If you need to decorate only the back of the chair, then you will handle this task literally in half an hour. To do this you will need a cut of any fabric, embroidery thread or multi-colored flaps for application, as well as two parameters: the height and width of the back. There is no more simple option how to sew sleeves on chairs by the type of simple pillowcases. So, fold the fabric in half and make a pattern on it (it is a rectangle with sides equal to our standards + 7-10 cm on each side to the seams and the thickness of the chair). It only remains to stitch the seams on the top and side edges of the cover, and the bottom should remain empty for putting on furniture. Both of its surfaces - or just the back - should be decorated with embroidery or applique from the flaps. It is recommended to involve children in this activity. Let them do not know how to sew the covers on chairs, but in the variety of creative ideas they have no equal. Therefore, we trust them to choose a picture, and then translate it to our product. Done!

Children's option

On the eve of the winter, topical options will be relevant. Now we will tell you how to sew sleeves on chairs in the form of caps with pompons. In addition, this decoration is very pleased with the kids. To do this, first measure the height and width of the back of the chairs, choose a red and green with the same pattern cloth, monochromatic white and buy a skein of yarn. Naturally, before sewing covers on chairs, patterns should be marked on paper or immediately on the fabric. For this, we lay out the material on the table, draw a rectangle on it, as in the first case, and add an arbitrary height to the top of it. We cut out, we cut the edges and sew everything except the bottom side. We turn out and sew on the edge of the white strip. Now we make the pompom and sew it outside to the top of the triangle. Done!

Strict Option

Now consider how to sew covers on chairs for each day. To do this we need a thick fabric, holding a shape, a wide silk ribbon, strong threads and an hour of free time. So, on the newspaper we draw a pattern. To do this, first measure the value of No. 1 - from the upper edge of the back to the floor (we take 2 cm), No. 2 - from it to the front edge of the seat (the centimeter should fit snugly against all surfaces when taking measurements). In addition, we will need a measurement number 3 - the width of the chair and the number 4 - the length of the legs (again we take 2 cm away). Now, on the newspaper, draw two rectangles of the same length as the standards No. 1 and No. 2, and the width equal to measure No. 3, and three more rectangles with sides equal to those of Nos. 3 and 4. We transfer everything to the fabric, cut out and process all edges. Sew the first two patterns along the border of the upper edge of the chair, and at the edges of the seat location sew the remaining pieces. It will only be necessary to put the products on the furniture and fix it with a ribbon in the form of a bow.
