How to learn a story easily? Six effective tips

Most people badly remember historical dates and events. This is due to the fact that our brain is hard at absorbing information, thoroughly imbued with numbers and unfamiliar names. Especially if new knowledge is "pushed" into him forcefully and without the slightest desire to enjoy the process.

But what if there is no time for empty thinking? What if the exam is already next week, and you do not know anything yet? How to learn history in such a short period? Well, do not worry, because we already have as many as six tips that can help you in this matter.

Method number 1: playing cards

Our grandfathers and grandmothers knew very well how to learn the dates of history, literally in a few evenings. To do this, they cut rectangles out of paper, something similar to playing cards. On one side they wrote the key date, and on the other side - those events that accompanied her. It is noteworthy that already at the stage of preparation our brain starts to memorize the selected historical dates and events, as it unconsciously sharpens its attention to them.

As for the rectangles themselves, they are laid out on any convenient surface with numbers up. When everything is ready, you should begin to study the material written on them. To do this, it is necessary to take a map and read aloud the text indicated on its reverse side. Then put it in place, only this time with the letters up.

This procedure is repeated until the moment, until all the cards are upside down. Then you need to rest for a few hours, then start to work on the material again. After 5-6 repetitions, the dates are fully fixed in the person's mind, and with them, those events that were attached to them.

Method number 2: mind games

Psychologists know how to learn the history as accurately as possible. They have a special technique called "The Game of Reason". Its essence lies in the fact that a person creates in his head stable images and pictures related to the material he is studying. Simply put, he fantasizes about a given topic.

Let's say you need to remember the key moments of the blockade of Leningrad. To do this, imagine yourself as an ordinary soldier, surrounded by invaders. Try to experience all those emotions that the Soviet military experienced at that difficult time. What orders came from his superiors? How long did his squad wait for reinforcements? How was he glad that the enemy's ring was broken?

This technique will tie your memories, let them be false, to real dates and numbers, which will later help to remember them all. True, to implement this technique you need a good fantasy, which, unfortunately, not all are endowed.

Method number 3: visualization

However, the question then arises of how to learn the story of those who can not create believable images in their heads. In this case, you can use those fantasies that already exist in the real world. I mean, open the browser and look for documentary films on history, archive photos, drawings and so on.

Looking through them, a person will start to gradually memorize the material that they contain in themselves. After all, vision is one of the best mechanisms for absorbing information from the environment. Especially when this process takes place in complete solitude and concentration.

Method number 4: reference point

Studying the dates, you need to follow the order of the calculus. I mean, it's impossible to learn the chronology of events, jumping on it like an angry one. Therefore, before you begin to study the material, find a common starting point for all events. Then slowly "go" up in the years, counting in your head, how much time has passed from the "place" of sending.

However, this method is good only in those situations when it is necessary to study a certain time period. When it comes to an entire era, here the reference point is unlikely to help synchronize all events.

Method number 5: own history book

How much can you learn the history of the whole world? A month, two, a year or more? In truth, it is impossible to learn absolutely all historical events. And this will have to be reconciled, because the nature of man is the fault. However, it is quite possible to remember the key dates and events of world history.

To do this, it is necessary to have a special notebook, preferably 96 sheets. It will need to make short historical notes for each individual epoch. Over time, you will have your own book on history, revealing the order of the formation of the world order. At the same time, it will be written in a language that is understandable to you, which later will help you learn it from crust to crust.

Method number 6: how to learn a story easily?

The last advice will be very banal, but effective. All you need is to love this subject. It's much easier to focus on what brings you pleasure. Agree, each of us remembers many interesting facts about your hobby, even without memorizing them by heart.

So find in history what you like, and focus on that feeling. Let it be not dry facts for you, but distant memories of forgotten times. Thus, you will not only be able to study this subject, but you will also visit places where a person's foot has not set foot for a long time.
