High quality of moldings, Orac

The confrontation between the classics and the modern will be eternal. But, nevertheless, the desire to determine the winner does not leave us.

It was a surprise to me that in Orac, the plinth, like the secondary details of stucco molding, can equally well be made of polyurethane and gypsum. On what to stop, I thought: a permanent classic, stretching from antiquity, or the practicality of modern technology?

It was decided not to hurry with the order, but first carefully take a closer look at each of the decisions. Advantages of gypsum are the methods of manufacture and installation worked out by centuries. This allows us to fantasize with the design of the room, filling the space with massive constructions of gypsum. Natural gypsum, familiar with an interesting structure, a little rough surface, will remain invariably fashionable even after a hundred years, and what is polyurethane? This option also has advantages: low weight, strength, durability, ease of installation, partial similarity with plaster moldings.

The disadvantages of gypsum are higher costs and more difficult and expensive installation. And polyurethane stucco - the prospect of having rare defects caused by the complexity of the technological process of making the decor of the desired shape. But here the installation is easier and cheaper.

So, the choice is really ambiguous. As a result, I decided to use a different type of stucco in two different rooms. Also I will note - both types of stucco look simply elegant and harmonious. At the same time, moving from room to room, there is no sense of a sharp difference in style concepts - everything is complete. So if you want to apply Orac Decor polyurethane stucco or gypsum stucco, make a smart choice.

The opposition between tradition and modernity will be eternal. However, all the same, the temptation to calculate the winner does not let us go.

The repair process at home was over, and I had only to answer the last question, closely related to the interior - what kind of molding to take, plaster or polyurethane? And the product brand issue was known in advance - exclusively Orac. Incidentally, this name refers to the entire series of materials: Orac Decor, Orac Axxent and Orac Luxxus.

For me, the news was that in Orac the skirting board, like the minor elements of the composition (corners, rosettes), can equally be made of both polyurethane and gypsum. On what to stop the choice, I thought: imperishable classics, existing since ancient times, or utilitarianity of the current innovations?

It was decided not to rush to choose, but at first it is better to look at the existing solutions. The advantages of gypsum stucco are the technologies of manufacturing and installation that exist in the centuries. This provides an opportunity for domestic consumers to fantasize on the decor of the apartment, filling the empty space with beautiful compositions made of gypsum. Natural gypsum, attracting an unusual structure, a little rough surface, will remain in demand forever after hundreds of years, but what about polyurethane? The given variant in turn has advantages: durability, simplicity of installation, small weight, durability, partial similarity with a plaster molding.

The disadvantages of gypsum stucco include high prices and more laborious and expensive installation. And polyurethane stucco - the chance of presence of infrequent flaws, due to the difficulty of the process of producing the decor of the desired appearance. But here mounting is easier and cheaper.

So the choice is truly controversial. In the end I decided to use different décor in different rooms. Finally I will add - both variants of stucco look great and harmonious. At the same time, moving from room to room, there is no sense of contrast of design ideas - everything is one. Therefore, if you want to connect the Orac Decor polyurethane or gypsum, make the right choice.
