Decorative partitions in the interior of rooms

Decorative partitions in the interior of modern buildings are not only functional but also aesthetic. Internal partitions help to better organize the space of the room and create effective interiors in offices, expand their functionality and divide the production areas.

On the construction market every year there is more and more materials for the device partitions in the interior. New more advanced technologies are being developed to create universal materials, the use of which allows not only to visually divide the space, but also to provide better sound insulation and a variety of styles.

Sliding and stationary decorative partitions in the interior

If you decide to apply interior partitions, then initially you need to decide which ones you plan to install: stationary or transformable. Stationary partitions will cost much less, since they do not require the use of fastening systems and reversal mechanisms. Basically, stationary partitions are chosen if it is necessary to insulate walls or hide engineering communications inside the framework. They can also be used to separate rooms instead of blind walls.

However, sliding decorative partitions in the interior have quite important advantages. With their help, you can transform the same room, make it larger or, conversely, divided into several separate rooms. Everything depends on the specific goals.

Types of stationary partitions: we improve the interior

There are several types of interior partitions. By type of construction they are divided into frame and frameless. Partitions without a frame are assembled from self-supporting panels of high strength with the help of a clamping profile. Glass partitions are made of hardened, durable glass, the thickness of which is a maximum of 10 mm.

For the assembly of frame partitions a PVC profile, steel or aluminum frame is used. The thickness of such partitions is up to 10 cm, which is both their disadvantage, and at the same time an advantage. On the one hand, this design greatly reduces the usable area, but on the other hand it can be used for placing sewage or water pipes, a heater and so on inside the frame.

Decorative partitions in the interior: photos and functionality

Interior partitions are divided into the following groups: transparent, deaf, translucent and combined structures. To separate rooms, for example, in hotels and sports changing rooms, of course, use a deaf decorative partition in the interior. In public premises and private apartments it is acceptable to use any type of partitions.

Zoning space is necessary in order to make accents on different areas in the interior. Of course, you can apply a variety of techniques to indicate boundaries, but it is the partitions that make it possible to clearly delineate the interior space. Decorative partitions do not take up much space, so they can be used even in the smallest room. In addition to the functional significance, these designs can serve as an original element of the overall interior design.
