Dimexide combines anti-inflammatory, conductive, antibacterial, fibrinolytic (ability to dissolve thrombus) properties. In general, the practice of sharing dimexide with other drugs is observed, in connection with the possibilities to improve their permeability to tissue cells. These properties of dimexide are used in cosmetology and medicine.

Due to the high absorbent effect, dimexide treatment provides a stronger penetration of other drugs into the tissue cells, since it has good conductivity. After contact with the skin, it appears in the blood for 5 minutes. The maximum concentration of dimexide in the blood comes after 4-6 hours. Compresses and dimexide swabs can be used together with antibiotics. In diseases of the skin (streptoderma, pustular lesions, eczema) use compresses, the solution of dimimexide varies from 40-90%, depending on the disease.

Tampons with dimexidum can be replaced with suppositories (propolis-D). The course of treatment with their use is 2 weeks (2 times a day). However, it is always worth remembering that self-administration of dimexide and non-compliance with dosages can be dangerous to health.
