The concert is over. But the audience instead of going to the exit from the auditorium, lined up in order to say words of gratitude. Slowly, in turn, with bright smiles, eyes full of hope and hearts, full of gratitude. Rather, even to say that the line was divided into two: one went to the author-performer, Denis Streltsov, the second line - to me, the organizer of the concert.

- Thank you! Did not expect such sincerity!

- Thank you! We have not seen such patriotism for a long time! Clean, sincere patriotism!

- Thank you! We got real pleasure! Denis is so pure, cultured and at the same time - courageous!

- And how old is Denis? My friend and I thought: looks very young, but such lyrics can only be written by a person who has much behind him!

- We listened to the WORDS! We for the first time, for many years, listened to the WORDS, and the SENSE reached the heart! Good songs!

Middle-aged and elderly, grandmothers and grandfathers-blockade, veterans - all said one thing.

- Cool! It was very interesting to me! - A guy of 19 years.

- It was interesting to me! I even wanted to cry. And sometimes I shuddered at the strange feeling inside of me! - A girl of 8 years.

I used to think many times, What is there in Denis's songs, at first glance simple, with an unpretentious melody. At first sight. Before, I tried to understand what kind of audience was Denis's audience? Who is his audience and listener? Now I know the answer: Denis is beyond time and beyond age, he is the face and conscience of time. This is certain. He asks forgiveness from a generation for all of us. He reveals an old, drunk grandfather before us as a Russian Soldier who has put his fate at stake for our future destiny. He sings of Love for the Motherland. Sings of Love to the Woman. He loves as only a man can love, bearing in himself the "Code of Masculinity."

Once I had a conversation about Denis Streltsov with one composer and musician:

- When I first listened to Denis's songs, I thought, well, it's simple, it would be even more interesting with melody and harmony. Words ... nothing new like. And only after I talked with Denis, I realized that his personal deepest internal culture and intelligence, honesty and openness reflected, are manifested through his work. Any, even a simple word, passed through such a creative soul, bears the imprint of this soul, in all its breadth and depth.

- Denis Streltsov has a huge creative potential! He still has to open up to the fullest! "Said Rudolf Fuchs, president of the New York record company Kismet, producer, poet and composer, guest of this concert.

The concert was on the verge of collapse, in these warm May days, some were occupied by the cottage, others - preparations for the celebration of the Victory Day. I was thinking about canceling.

But Denis said:

- I will go on stage, even if there are three people in the hall. Since they came to me, it means today, on May 8, for them this is most important, they need it.

- Yes ... He's a real artist! - she told me later, in response to this remark, the head of the theatrical and entertainment department of the CC "Troitsky".

By the beginning of the concert, with a little delay because of the pre-holiday "traffic jams" on the roads, the audience gathered, and all settled comfortably in the armchairs of a cozy festively decorated room. At 17:50 and, with the delay of the beginning of the concert at 18:15, the audience knew that the author-performer, the winner of contests of pop and patriotic songs, Denis Streltsov, will appear on the stage. But then they still did not know that he would take possession of these souls for one and a half hour, and that at 20:00 they would all leave the concert, having already become a little different, and now they will look forward to new meetings.
