Boge shock absorbers: description, species and characteristics

Serviceable shock absorbers are a guarantee of safety and comfort. A car with these struts is better to quench fluctuations and provides good grip of the wheels with the road. However, the shock absorber, however qualitative it may be, sooner or later comes to a malfunction. And then a global question arises: which rack to choose, so that it had the best combination of price / quality? Boge shock absorbers are well suited to this characteristic. Today we will pay attention to them.

Production

Automobile shock absorbers of this company are produced at one of the largest plants in Germany. At the moment, the products of the German company Boge are actively used on many cars, including the serial production of vehicles at German concerns. Many years of experience of engineers allowed them to create one of the most high-quality shock absorbers that could pass through a hard stage of certification in order to enter the world market. It comes to Russia not like the Japanese "Kayaba", but the quality of the "Germans" does not change from this.

Boge produces several types of shock absorbers, the most popular among which are:

  • Oily stands Automatic.
  • Gas-filled Turbo.
  • Specially designed for extreme operating conditions shock absorbers Boge Extreme (we'll talk about them at the end of the article).

Automatic and Turbo

Let's start with oil racks. Rear and front shock absorbers Boge Automatic are ideal for almost every car, be it an imported BMW or a domestic VAZ. In general, this product is used on sedans budget and premium class, as well as family caravans and minivans. Due to their properties, these products are much better to suppress fluctuations than gas-filled Boge-designed shock absorbers of the Turbo series. However, those have their own merits. For example, the main advantage of gas-filled shock absorbers Turbo is their resistance to overheating, which is why they are installed primarily on sports cars. In this manner of driving, the fluid in the oil devices simply overheats. As a result, even the shock absorbers created by Boge are out of order. After the first overheating, they completely lose all their qualities. The gas-filled shock absorbers produced by Boge, on the contrary, staunchly hold enormous loads and, thanks to the presence of gas inside the structure, do not "boil". But along with this, you have to sacrifice comfort, because such racks are more rigid than oil ones on pits. However, for Germany with its smooth roads this is a frivolous drawback.

And now about the racks for extreme driving

The shock absorbers of the rear Boge Extreme have been specially designed for cars that are operated for the most part off-road and broken road. The manufacturer recommends them to use the owners of all-wheel drive off-road vehicles, which like to conquer the off-road terrain. Boge-produced shock absorbers of the Extreme series, however, like all the rest of their products, are designed taking into account the slightest nuances and technological features of operation. So these racks can be safely installed on our cars, as nowhere in the world are there such roads that would give odds to the most difficult off-road routes, as in Russia and Ukraine.
