Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev is a writer whose contribution to the development of Russian literature of the 19th century is almost invaluable. And it's not for nothing that the novel "Fathers and Sons" is a program work of the writer.

In the summer of 1860, the novel was conceived. Turgenev first mentions it in a letter to EE Lambert and talks about his idea as a "great story". The writer plans to finish the work quickly, but he manages to do it six months later. As a result, the novel was completed in July-August 1861.

Odintsova reveals herself as a person with her own convictions and views, she can talk on equal terms and not give in to Evgeny in anything.

Recognition of Bazarov in love is depicted by Turgenev very dramatically. Odintsova first invites Eugene to the conversation heart to heart, it gradually becomes clear that she is in love with him. But Anna achieves that he made the confession first.
