ASUS X50VL: overview, main features

Notebook ASUS X50VL refers to the budget series of 15-inch laptops with a discrete graphics system. This is a good choice for those who need a relatively inexpensive, but at the same time, a multifunctional device for work or other household needs.

A more or less optimal ratio of performance and cost can withstand dual core filling in the face of Pentium Dual Core from Intel and the built-in video chip from the Radeon of the X2300 series. From an older version with a V mark on the end, the ASUS X50VL compares favorably with the well-proven Merom generation from Intel with a P connector. This amount of RAM is not enough for comfortable work even in the previous generation of Windows, not to mention the gluttonous Vista, where the specification specifies a minimum RAM of 2 GB.

The overall impression of the design is very pleasant: a matte finish, soft bevels, a pretty layer on the lid together with a solid black base make the device attractive. Sometimes, when you look at the model, you get the impression that you have a more expensive and powerful model than there is in reality.

As for the communication connectors, everything is in place, except that there are not enough modern HDMI ports and eSATA. On the sides and at the end you will find: a reader of the standard SD / MMC / MS / MS Pro / xD, USB ports, VGA and DVI outputs, network interface type RJ-45/11, output for "express cards" 34/35, microphone With headphones, wireless protocol button Wi-Fi and DVD-drive.
