Announcer Kirillov Igor Leonidovich: biography, private life

For millions of viewers the announcer Kirillov became the personification of the Soviet era on television. It was he who announced to the whole country that Yuri Alekseevich first went into space. It was addressed to him by ordinary citizens, asking him for help in solving domestic problems, and he did not refuse. The style of presentation of the material and the voice of Igor Leonidovich for many evoked the atmosphere of the holiday. The announcer Kirillov is one of the few who congratulated compatriots on the New Year. And he was aware of how credible and responsible the mission entrusted to him.

Working as an announcer, Igor Kirillov was able to prove how filigree he can speak, passing the necessary intonation and emotional background. His teacher, the legendary news anchor, considered Irakli Andronikov, who was able to evoke in the Soviet man a sense of respect for his own culture and pride in his native country.

How did the speaker Kirillov get on television, and what he managed to achieve in the career. Let's consider this issue in more detail.

Years of childhood and adolescence

Kirillov Igor Leonidovich - a native of Moscow. He was born on September 14, 1932. His father worked as an editor at the Military Publishing House, and his mother worked as a simple librarian. The rules of Russian literature were unshakable in the Kirillov family, and young Igor realized this immediately. He learned the science of reading very early. The boy knew many poems, attended circles on amateur performances. It is not difficult to guess that, having matured, Igor will choose a creative profession. So it happened.

Learning acting skills

After receiving the certificate of maturity, the young man firmly decided to become a director and counted on the fact that he successfully passed the exams at VGIK.

In the "theater" university he was informed that he was too young to study at the directing faculty. But the famous master of filming Mikhail Chiaureli reassured the guy, saying that he can try his hand at the acting department. And the young man goes there exactly.

The future announcer Kirillov got on one course with Maya Bulgakova, Gennady Yukhtin, Isold Izvitskaya. All of them made a huge contribution to Soviet cinema, but Igor, unfortunately, studied with them for only one year. He disagreed with some teachers VGIK, and the young man was forced to continue to comprehend the basics of acting at the Schepkinsky School of the Maly Theater.

Work in the theater

Having received the coveted diploma, Igor Kirillov is in the troupe of the Moscow drama and comedy theater on Taganka. Then this temple of Melpomene was not as popular as it is now.

Nevertheless, on its stage performances were staged, to which the viewer, albeit not always massively, but walked. The graduate of "Shchepki" served in this theater only two years: directors in most cases asserted him to secondary roles, and in the end the young man decides to try himself in something else.

TV

And soon such an opportunity seems to him. In the second half of the 1950s, the creation of a "revolutionary" art form in the USSR began. Speech, of course, is about television. Naturally, then everyone was a beginner in such professions, as an editor, cameraman, director. Experience in them was acquired through trial and error. Young Igor Kirillov did not miss the opportunity to work on television, hoping to professionally engage in directing. He came up with several staged scenes for his favorite literary works and showed them to the main director of CT, Sergei Alekseev. Having acquainted with them, he approved the young man in the post of not the director, but his assistant. Alekseev agreed that in the future a graduate of the Shchepkinsky school might well become a director, but so far only his assistant. Igor Leonidovich received the above position in a musical version, firmly intending to go to his cherished goal.

Another perspective

After a while, the leadership of the Soviet television announced that a new vacancy was opening - the announcer.

Kirillov, whose biography, undoubtedly deserves the closest attention, at first did not see himself as a news broadcaster. At that time, the department in which Igor Leonidovich was supposed to work was composed exclusively of representatives of the weaker sex: Lyudmila Sokolova, Valentina Leontieva, Anna Shatilova, Nina Kondratova. One man in a women's team? Such a prospect for the graduate of "Shchepki" seemed not entirely rosy. And yet he was not too lazy to learn by heart the information that was placed on the half of the page of the newspaper Pravda. In the end, Igor Leonidovich ventured, and the September broadcast of 1957 became his debut. Self-confidence came to him after a few issues. After some time, Kirillov (the television announcer) finally realized that he was in his place.

Work specifics

Igor Leonidovich understood how responsible the work he was performing. The slightest inaccuracy or incorrect formulation could have a detrimental effect on his career. For many years his broadcast was only direct. Of course, the incidents in the work happened, but the Soviet television announcer Kirillov learned to masterfully smooth and neutralize them.

Having gained experience, Igor Leonidovich became a national leader. He was invited to work in the most popular television projects.

So, he led the favorite for the audience of the program: "Television Cafe", "Lighting", "Blue Light". First they went out every week, then the broadcast format was changed, and the broadcasts were broadcast on holidays. "Blue light" Kirillov, as a rule, led with no less famous announcer - Anna Shatilova. Some viewers, seeing their synchronous work on television, were confident that they were husband and wife. They received mountains of letters in which they were thanked for hard work and wished them family happiness.

Career peak

In 1968, Igor Leonidovich was offered the leadership of the voice department of the Central Television. He agreed, but he had to face some difficulties in his work, because to lead a women's team is a specific matter. But the maestro picked up the "key", which opened the door to the mysteries of female psychology.

The epoch of Gorbachev was the final stage in Kirillov's career. Perestroika touched many spheres of human life, including television. At the end of 1989, Igor Leonidovich last conducted the release of "News". But he did not finish the point. In the new Russia, Kirillov was still in demand.

He was often invited to lead creative evenings, festive events and he even occasionally appeared on blue screens. For his services to television, the maestro was awarded numerous regalia and awards.

Life outside the profession

The announcer Igor Kirillov, whose personal life was very successful, lived with his wife Irina Vsevolodovna for more than half a century. They were friends from childhood and even worked in the same edition. The presenter was hard at the loss of his wife's life. In the marriage they had two children.

Daughter Anna is a professional pianist. He currently lives in Germany. Son Vsevolod is engaged in business.
