Andrei Solomatin: biography, football career

Andrey Solomatin is one of the main players of the Moscow "Locomotive" of the late 90's - early 2000's. It was during this period that the "railwaymen" achieved the greatest successes in the Russian and international arena, and Solomatin, along with other stars of that period - Chugainov, Janashia, Ovchinnikov - were the brightest players of the domestic championship.

Early career

Andrei Solomatin was born in Moscow on September 9, 1975. Soccer was carried away in his early childhood with a father. Dad gave young Andrey to the children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve "Torpedo" (Moscow). It was in it that the first steps were taken, the foundations of the ability to work on two key positions, on which Solomatin subsequently played his entire career - the central defender and the defensive midfielder - are laid.

The first adult team for Andrew was "Torpedo" (Moscow). In the application, Solomatin was in 1992 when he was 16 years old. In that season, "avtozavodtsy" played in the Major League, but after the preliminary stage to continue the fight for the medals could not, did not have only three points. Solomatin, due to his young age and inexperience to debut in the season and could not.

In the second league

The next season to gain experience and maturity Andrei Solomatin went to the capital TRASKO. It was a team based on FSM ("Football School of Youth"), so the collective was called under the Soviet Union. In the previous season, TRASCO successfully performed for himself in the 3rd zone of the 2nd league of the Russian championship, taking the 15th place. This is the best achievement of the team in the national championship.

In 1993, TRASKO entered the 4th zone. Solomatin from the first matches took the place at the heart of defense. The season turned out to be long, heavy and ambiguous. In 42 games I managed to win only 10 times, with 19 defeats. As a result - 16th place and, like many teams in that season, due to a change in the format of the tournament, TRASCO went to the 3rd league.

Solomatin spent the next season here too. This time we managed to become 12th. For 2 seasons Andrey appeared on the field 47 times, scoring 8 goals.

Under the direction of Semin

In the off-season Solomatin Andrey Yurievich received an invitation from the head coach of the Moscow "Locomotive" Yuri Semin and arrived at the location of the "railroad". So opened the most successful page of his career.

Young, but impudent Solomatin immediately found his place in the team. From the first matches he was allowed to play games. First came to replace in the end, soon won a place in the basis. The debut took place in the first round in the home game with the Samara "Wings of the Soviets". Solomatin came on as a substitute in the 70th minute when the score was 1: 1 instead of Arsen Ayupov. 5 minutes before the final whistle, the "railwaymen" earned a penalty, which was implemented by Alexei Kosolapov. In the remaining time, all struggled to keep the victory, Solomatin even received his first yellow card. I managed to get 3 points in that match.

The 1995 season proved successful for Lokomotiv, the team won silver medals, losing 6 points to Moscow's Spartak.

First trophy

The following year, everything went wrong. At the end of the season, "Locomotive" was only in the 6th place. But Andrei Solomatin won his first trophy - the Cup of Russia.

Still at the stage of the 1/16 finals, the Petersburg Zenit 4-0 was defeated, in 1/8 with the same score beat Uralmash. Solomatin was already a basic player by that time. Further, with a score of 1: 0, managed to pass Kamyshin's "Tekstilchik" and Moscow's "Dynamo". In the final, "Lokomotiv" got the strongest team of those years - "Spartak".

Solomatin Andrey Yurievich in that match was in the starting lineup. The first half turned out to be eventful - the teams exchanged two balls. But in the second half of the meeting the struggle was more stubborn. The fate of the trophy was decided by Yuri Drozdov's goal five minutes before the end of regular time. 3: 2 in favor of "Locomotive".

Despite this young team Semin in the first match did not fade away and won away - 1: 0. True, the retaliatory strike of the Germans was devastating, in Cherkizovo, "Lokomotiv" was bit 0: 5.

The following year, the "railroad" fell into just 1/16 of the UEFA Cup. This round was not without difficulty the Croatian "Varteks" (1: 0, 1: 2). And in 1/8 suffered two defeats from the Portuguese "Benfica" (0: 1, 2: 3).

The season of 1997/98 became much more successful. At first the Belarusian "Belshina" (2: 1, 3: 0) was confidently passed, then the Turkish "Kocaelispor" (2: 1, 0: 0). In the 1/4 finals, the Greek AEK went to rivals. The first match in Athens ended in a draw, the return meeting in Moscow also ended with an equal score, but already 1: 1, which suited the Greeks. Spas "Locomotive" Igor Chugainov, scoring a goal in the last minutes of the match.

The fairy tale ended in the semifinals. "Lokomotiv" minimally lost in Germany, "Stuttgart" - 1: 2, however, in the return meeting in Moscow, the fans did not see the goals.

In 30 games the teams scored 66 points each. CSKA won 21 victories, 2 more than "railroad", but according to the rules of that season, the fate of the trophy was decided by the "golden" match.

It was held on November 21 at the stadium "Dynamo" in the presence of 34 thousand fans. Solomatin came in the first team against the team, which was recently his native.

"Lokomotiv" succeeded an early goal, in the 6th minute account was opened by Dmitry Loskov. As a result, this goal was the only one. "Lokomotiv" for the first time became the champion of Russia, and Solomatin again received silver medals.

Team at the World Cup

The beginning of two thousand years in Solomatin's career is the most successful time, when he was invited to play for the national team. Andrew made his debut in the team on November 18, 1998 in a friendly against the Brazilians. The game was not asked from the very beginning, already by the 20th minute the wizards of the ball were 2-0 and in the 32nd minute Solomatin gave way to the field Kornauhov. That game ended with one of the biggest defeats of the national team - 1: 5.

Then Solomatin was summoned for friendly matches in 2000, and in 2002 he was invited to the World Cup in Japan and South Korea. On the eve of the tournament I played in a friendly tournament for the LG Cup. In the semifinal match against Belarusians he evened the score from the penalty spot, scoring his first goal for the national team.

On mundiale Solomatin was a player of the basic structure. However, the team failed. Having won in the first match Tunisia - 2: 0, suffered two defeats - 0: 1 from Japan and 2: 3 from Belgium. Solomatin played all the matches without substitutions, having received two yellow cards.

Nowadays

After leaving CSKA Moscow, Solomatin went to the Krasnodar "Kuban", but there were only 8 matches. From there to the South Korean "Sonnam Ilkhwa Cheonma" (and there appeared on the field only 2 times).

He played for the Ukrainian "Obolon", Samara "Wings of the Soviets", Nizhny Novgorod "Spartak", Makhachkala "Anji" and Moscow's "Torpedo". But nowhere could I gain a foothold, without even spending 20 matches for one team. Solomatin was no longer invited to the national team. Completed his career in 2007 at the age of 32 years.
