Analysis of the "Duma" Lermontov M.Yu.
Mikhail Yurievich has a lot of socially significant poems in which he assesses society and tries to understand what awaits him in the future. The analysis of Lermontov's Duma allows us to determine that the work belongs to the type of satirical elegies. The poet composed a verse in 1838, in meaning it is very similar to the poem "The Death of a Poet", only if there the author reproached the inaction and cruelty of the court society, here all the nobles are guilty, their indifference and refusal to participate in socio-political events says "Thought".
An analysis of Lermontov's "Duma" emphasizes that the peers of the writer could not decide to take a desperate step and resist the tsarist regime, because they were taught by the bitter experience of their fathers-the Decembrists. The descendants understand that they are unable to change anything, and they will be severely punished for the uprising, so they prefer to remain silent, and direct all their knowledge and skills to fruitless science. These people are not characterized by an ardent manifestation of feelings, they do not perform noble deeds, and even are afraid to admit to themselves the desire to help others, to make the world a better place.
Indifference to social life means spiritual death - that's what M. Lermontov thought. The Duma only summed up the questions that were topical and painful for the poet. Mikhail Yurievich constantly worried that he would not leave anything for future generations. His work he considered useless and imperfect, years will pass and he will be forgotten forever. Claim for eternity could work of Pushkin.
