Treatment of the hip joint: the features of the process

Inflammation of the hip joint (arthritis) is quite a complex and unpleasant disease. The cause of its appearance may be an infection, a malfunction in the metabolic processes, excessive strain on the joint, trauma. The most pronounced sign of this lesion is severe pain in the hip area. In this case, the patient may have a fever, limited mobility, lameness, swelling.

Treatment of the hip joint should be comprehensive. First of all, you need to remove the pain syndrome. For this, non-steroidal pain relievers are used. Most often, these can be injections of medications directly into the near-articular zone. Even doctors prescribe the introduction of special gels, which lubricate the bones and contribute to the allocation of their own "lubricant".

Also, the treatment of the hip joint is performed with the help of physiotherapy procedures: magnetotherapy, electrophoresis. Sometimes a doctor advises laser treatment of a sick area. A good effect is manual therapy. It helps to eliminate spasms in the muscles, painful sensations, to restore the mobility of the joint. Naturally, the intensity of the impact on the articular cartilage should be limited.

Treatment of the hip joint involves the use of anti-inflammatory drugs. In addition, you can apply and folk methods: rubbing broths, compresses.

In very serious cases, a decision is made to conduct an operative intervention, but this procedure requires a long recovery period, so it is better not to start the disease.

Effective is the treatment of the hip joint using a set of specially designed exercises. They can include stretching the limb with your own weight. However, for the first time such gymnastics should be conducted under supervision. Only if you are sure that you have learned to do the exercises yourself, you can continue treatment at home.

Exercises for the hip joint should be gentle. So, the complex of gymnastics includes riding a stationary bike, but the device must be adjusted so that you do not have to bend your legs too much and quickly. Otherwise it will be very painful. Begin training with 5 minutes a day, gradually increasing the interval. The maximum training time is 30 minutes (if during this period you did not feel pain). If the exercise is given hard, do not try to overcome yourself, rest.

Effective is also such an exercise: lie on your back, legs bend at the knees and slowly raise your buttocks up. In this position, you should stay about 5 seconds, and then just as slowly fall into the starting position. You should also perform lifting your legs up, lying on your side. All actions should be smooth and slow. Try to carry them out so that you do not feel pain.

It works well on the joint by lifting a straight leg up, lying on its back. You can use a long belt. Before performing gymnastics, consult a specialist who will show you how to do it correctly.
