Subcultures in Russia. From "stilig" to "metal".

Subculture can be called a group of people, which are united by common views on life, different from the worldview, which is imposed by the majority. Often they are united not only by similar thinking, but also by certain musical preferences, and also by the style of clothing.

Approximately since the late 80s of the 20th century, researchers have become more aware of the phenomenon of subcultures. In Russia, they developed around the middle of the 20th century, when such subjects as "stilyagi" appeared - the so-called shocking youth, who tried to dance and dress "stylishly", for which they got their name. Representatives of this movement very quickly disappeared, as the policy towards dissidents was very, very tough. Especially it was explained by the fact that the "dudes" were accused by the state that they worshiped the West. This was just judged, given that the music that preferred the "stylish" youth - jazz and rock and roll - came to us from the United States.

The second wave can be called a stage where rock music became available to young people. It was in these years (60th - 80th) subcultures in Russia began to acquire the classic features of the informalities. Namely: apoliticality, increased attention to internal problems, internationalism. In the middle of this period, when young people got access to narcotic drugs, a "system" appeared - the hippo subculture of the USSR, which united a number of separate subcultures that later absorbed even metalworkers and punks.

The third wave of subculture development in Russia began in 1986, when the existence of "informal" was officially recognized. It was from this period that youth movements in Russia began to develop actively.

Modern subcultures are divided into many groups, each of which has a distinctive style of clothing. Everyone can distinguish a goth or punk from those people whom he is accustomed to seeing in everyday life. But the development of subcultures is going on at a tremendous pace, and now you will not be surprised by this phenomenon.

Goths, for example, prefer to wear black clothes, their hair is black, besides that, their lips and nails are also painted in black. This color corresponds well to the behavior of representatives of this subculture. In Russia, the ready is very often confused with the Satanists. Apparently, because of the addictions to the supernatural. Perhaps the most important feature of any Goth is the desire for creativity, which can be seen in the way they relate to their appearance and how much work they put into it.

Metalists, who can be safely called the largest of the currently existing subcultures, focus their ideology directly around music. Appearance of the classic metalworker presupposes the presence of narrow black jeans, which are refilled in high boots, coho, various attributes in the form of rings with skulls, chains, and bracelets with spikes. Very often this subculture can be attributed to bikers. It is worth noting that, despite their outward aggressiveness, representatives of this subculture, who have already crossed the age limit in 25 years - are already people who are peaceful, are engaged in serious work, but nevertheless, those who like to "break away from the young"
