"Drivyaty": recreation center in the heart of the wild nature

Description of the terrain and its ecosystem

This fabulous place is located in the Vitebsk region. It is here that Drivyaty Lake is located, which is one of the largest reservoirs of the country. The richness of this area is a unique aquatic ecosystem. Also around the lake there is a wide variety of flora and fauna. The local flora has more than 800 separate species. Among them there are those who are listed in the International Red Book.

The variety of local animals is also amazing. In the local water bodies there are about 40 different kinds of fish, so lovers of rest with fishing rods will be able to "hunt" from the heart. Walking along the picturesque nature, vacationers notice how many feathered singers there are. Indeed, it has been estimated that approximately 35% of the country's birds choose this area for nesting. A rare species is the mute swan, which was recently on the verge of extinction. Today you can meet him by coming to the Drivyaty. Recreation center attracts many and the fact that holidaymakers have every chance to see flying squirrels, badgers, roe deer, moose and other wild animals. Also in these forests live bears, lynxes, wild boars.

Bathed in the lake you can see its incredible purity. It is important to note that the local air is shrouded in the aroma of tar and trees, which exudes a forest located in the southern part of the park. Their area reaches approximately 31,000 hectares. Among them, spruce forests are more common. Also, near the buildings themselves, there is a thick pine forest.

Housing conditions in the recreation center

The recreation center Drivyaty (Byelorussia) was opened in 1995. Although the territory was maintained in excellent condition, in 2010 a reconstruction was carried out, and after that the complex acquired a modern look and conditions necessary for recovery. Here there were comfortable rooms, well-groomed territory and a health center "Drivyaty".

Recreation center has a complex, which includes three buildings with rooms. The first and second buildings are buildings of four floors. In each of them there are 8 standard rooms with two seats. The rooms have a bedroom with two beds, a living room with a TV and a sofa, a refrigerator, a kettle, crockery and a bathroom with a bath.

Two rooms "junior suite" in which two bathrooms are provided, a double bed in the bedroom, a sofa in the living room, TV. There is a kitchenette with dishes, a kettle and a fridge.

The third building is a building of three floors. It accommodates 16 one-room apartments, each designed for two people. There are two beds, a shower with a bathroom, a balcony, a refrigerator and a TV.

In whatever case or room you have settled, a pleasant view of the pine forest opens from the window. For an additional fee in any room you can add a third person. You can also take small children with you. Hot water is always served in the rooms.

Local infrastructure

But three buildings are not all the amenities that are in the Drivyat complex. The recreation center has its own cultural and health center with a bar and a restaurant. If necessary, you can order a banquet. There is a gym, a steam bath, a sauna with a jacuzzi and a swimming pool. In this center you can play table tennis or billiards. There are entertainment for young and mischievous guests. A children's playground was organized for them.

On the territory are arranged arbours and barbecues for picnics. There are also rental points for motor and rowing boats, bicycles, skates and skis. You can go on an excursion or arrange a sledge ride.

Those who arrived on their car, leave the vehicle in the parking lot provided.

Power on the base

The restaurant of the camp site provides three meals a day with hot dishes. If necessary, you can make a lunch order.

Fishing

Many amateurs of fishing come from year to year in the Drivyaty. Holiday Village (Braslav Lakes are famous for their huge variety of fish) has regular customers. Here often comes bream, crucian, gusher, tench, rudd, roach, gudgeon, carp and pike. Also here are the dace, the top, burbot, carp, sazan, ide, chub, white cupid, eel and other species. At the recreation center you can buy a ticket for amateur fishing and enjoy the real bite.

Additional information about the rest at the base

Lake Drivyaty is only a hundred meters from the buildings, so a leisurely walk to the pond will only bring pleasure. For many years the recreation center "Drivyaty" has become a favorite place of relaxation for many.
