About what is prejudice
In this article, let's talk about what prejudice is. Sometimes, it would seem, in a completely simple and understandable real world, individual members of society perceive certain things and phenomena somewhat inadequately. In fact, prejudice is a prejudice based on a stereotype. It arises solely from a person's unwillingness to think and evaluate the events of the surrounding world on his own.
An example of this is racial prejudice. A person who tries to assert himself not by personal development, but by gaining a cheap authority through humiliation of people with a different skin color or a cut of the eyes, may receive some momentary benefit. However, material prosperity is nothing compared to the degradation of the individual. Gradually, such a person will lose the sense of reality more and more. It is not known how this can end.
Of course, not all prejudices are so serious and dangerous, there are prejudices - superstitions. However, even in harmless, such as a black cat that crossed the road, nothing good is there.
It is wrong to believe that only superstitious or not very high levels of society or not too educated are predisposed to superstitions of any kind. In fact, highly intelligent, quite intelligent people can be mistaken and manifest such ignorance . Hence, we can conclude that neither higher education nor a high position in society will replace the personal development and education of the "I" on its own, and not on someone's experience.
So, what is prejudice is understandable. It is necessary to think independently and only on the basis of independently made assessments to take any action. This will be useful to the person himself and, as a consequence, to the whole society as a whole.
